Welcome to La Cocina
Join Spanish-American artist and producer Angélica Rahe (pronounced “ray”) at her upcoming show, “La Cocina Sessions” at Antone’s on Sunday, September 29 at 8pm.
This concert is the debut of “La Cocina Sessions”, a cross-genre, dual-language compilation of songs “cooked up” by Rahe and a diverse set of artists. Produced by Rahe, the album features Austin-based artists including Jackie Venson, J Dash, Blakchyl, and Megz Kelli of Magna Carda. Attendees are invited to witness the magic of La Cocina (how she lovingly refers to her studio) in real time.
Rahe is no stranger to producing thoughtful, intentional collaborations. After touring the world supporting Kali Úchis as her musical director, background vocalist and guitarist in 2018, Rahe has worked thoughtfully to produce works and artistic experiences for both herself and other artists. She also launched Songcraft.co in 2023, a collective and platform to elevate and mentor underrepresented artists and songwriters in Austin, TX. Locally, she's performed at SXSW and Blues on the Green, headlined 3TEN and Mohawk, and been a featured artist on KUTX Live!.
