Testimonials

Angelica did the most incredible job bringing my grandmother’s portrait to life, I could not love it more. My favorite photo of her was a bit drab in all faded sepia tones, as they tended to be in those days; I asked Angelica to bring it to life a bit more with color — as my grandmother was many things, but drab was not one of them. She picked the most beautiful color palette without losing any of the original magic, it’s perfect. She is so talented, I only hope to get more pieces from her in the future.

I’m forever grateful to Angélica for painting an absolutely beautiful portrait of my grandmother. Helen was the matriarch of our family and it was hard on all of us when she passed away. But it’s been hardest on my mom – so it was an honor to be able to commission such a gorgeous portrait as a gift to her. I don’t know how Angélica was able to capture the warmth and charm of my grandmother despite never having met her, but she truly did. From the moment she finished the painting, it became a priceless heirloom to my family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Angélica!

If you have been lucky enough to have grandparents in your life, you know what important figures they can be as you grow up. My grandmother Evon was evolved beyond her generation and taught me integrity, how to hold myself with dignity, unconditional love, endless compassion all wrapped up in a dry sense of humor that would make the most stoic person crack a smile. She loved to paint in her spare time so there was no other way I could think to honor her memory than by commissioning a painting of her. Angelica captured everything I loved about Evon. Sometimes I feel like I catch her side-eye when I walk by her portrait, reminding me to tune my piano and be kinder to myself.
